Shipping Policy

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. has full discretion regarding the method of transportation in which its Products or other items will be sent to the Customer. Shipping methods include, but are not limited to, Freight Carrier Services, USPS, UPS and Canada Post.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will make all reasonable efforts to process all orders within 1 to 3 Business Days following the date of purchase. Processing time may vary depending on stock availability and Sales volume. Belmonte Bikes LTD will process orders on a “first come, first serve” basis, and will notify Customer of any unusual delays that may occur.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will pre-inspect all orders before shipment for any apparent defects. Belmonte Bikes LTD.. is authorized to refuse to ship an item if the latter does not pass inspection. If the defective product becomes out-of-stock, Belmonte Bikes LTD.. will take all necessary steps to provide Customer with an appropriate alternative of similar value, or issue a refund, at Customer’s request.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will provide tracking information once the item has been shipped. An email confirmation will be sent to Customer upon shipment; this email will contain tracking information and instructions. The tracking number will update within 24 to 48 hours from time of pickup by the designated Carrier, before it can be tracked. Upon receiving the tracking number, Customer is responsible to contact the Carrier directly for inquiries regarding, but not limited to, delivery date, time of delivery and appointments.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will not be responsible for any fees that may be charged by the Carrier due to the Customer’s failure to be present for delivery. Customer accepts to pay for the fees before scheduling for another appointment for delivery.

 

  1. Customer is responsible to inspect the package on delivery before signing off with the driver. Customer must inspect all Packages and promptly report any and all visible damages to the driver. Buyer who fails to report damages that otherwise would have been detected by a simple inspection at the time of delivery will be denied a damage claim and must pay for replacement parts.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will ship items for FREE to a Residential or Business address. The delivery terminal will contact the Customer to schedule a delivery appointment. Deliveries are made between the hours of 9:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and will be scheduled within a 4-hour window. No weekend deliveries

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. Products will be delivered to the threshold of the house/building. Freight service provides delivery to the first dry area such as a garage, covered porch or just inside the exterior door of the building. This service does not include set up or assembly of items or removal of packaging materials.

 

  1. Customer must promptly inspect the item(s) upon delivery. A signature is required for all deliveries; the driver is unable to complete delivery without a signed delivery receipt. Customer must note any damage to the item or packaging on the delivery receipt or, if refusing delivery due to damage, must note "refused due to damage" on the

 

  1. Extraordinary delivery conditions may require an additional fee to be paid by Customer.

 

 

Warranty Coverage

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will provide warranty coverage to Customers who have made a purchase directly through Belmonte Bikes LTD. Warranty coverage is not transferrable to second-hand purchasers of Belmonte Bikes LTD.

 

  1. The 50cc-250cc Motorcycles feature the following warranty coverage:

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will cover both the parts and shipping costs associated with any defective component during the first month of ownership.

 

  1. Following the first month of ownership, but prior to the expiry of a period of 12 months since the date of ownership, Belmonte Bikes LTD. will cover the costs of any defective component, excluding the frame and subject to an administration and shipping fee associated with the replacement of the defective component.

 

  1. The Warranty period will come to an end at the expiry of a period of 12 months from the date of ownership, subject to any extended warranty offered by Belmonte Bikes LTD. purchased at the time of the order.

 

  1. In the event that an extended warranty was purchased at the time of the order, Belmonte Bikes LTD. will cover the cost of any defective component, including defects related to the engine and transmission of the product. During this extended warranty timeframe, Belmonte Bikes LTD. will cover the cost of any defective component related to the engine and transmission under normal use and care. The owner will remain liable for a small administration and shipping fee related to engine and transmission components that need replacing. Where required, the extended warranty package will be pro-rated according to the findings of a defective component review and Spectrometric Oil Analysis provided to you from Belmonte Bikes LTD.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. makes no express or implied representations and warranties that it will be able to replace body fairings in the original colours of the product purchased by the Customer. In the event that the Customer is not satisfied with the colour of the replacement fairings, he will be responsible to arrange for painting of the replacement body fairing, at his own expense. Due to the fragile nature of body fairings, they are not covered by any warranty.

 

  1. The 50cc – 250cc ATV’s, Dirt Bikes and Pocket Bikes/Mini Choppers feature the following warranty coverage

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will cover both the parts and shipping costs associated with any defective component during the first month of ownership.

 

  1.   1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will cover both the parts and shipping costs associated with any defective component during the first month of ownership.

 

  1. Exclusions

 

  1. The following causes of damage are excluded from Belmonte Bikes LTD. Warranty programs:

 

  1. All damages caused by accidents, whether intentional or due to negligent or improper operation of the vehicle.

 

  1. All modifications or alterations to any standard specifications or equipment. All upgrades, modifications or installation of after-market parts must be done at the Customer’s own risk, and the Customer is liable for any damages caused due to such alterations.

 

  1. All damages caused by negligent use of parts which were not provided or recommended by Belmonte Bikes LTD. for repairs or alterations to standard specifications.

 

  1. All damages caused by failure to perform factory scheduled service maintenance. Buyer is entirely responsible for the maintenance of purchased product.

 

  1. All damages occurred as a result of improper storage.

 

  1. All damages caused by the improper or negligent use of fuel or lubricants, and/or failure to use proper oil/gas mixture on 2-stroke models.

 

 

  1. The following standard wear and tear parts are specifically excluded from warranty coverage:

 

  1. Rubber parts
  2. Tires
  3. Belts
  4. Brake linings
  5. Brake parts
  6. Cables
  7. Filters
  8. Spark plugs
  9. Bulbs
  10. Batteries
  11. Sprockets
  12. External springs
  13. Seat
  14. Hand grips.

 

 

  1. All servicing made to Belmonte Bikes LTD. products must be carried out by qualified professionals to maintain warranty coverage. Failure to utilize qualified personal to effect repairs will result in the warranty coverage being cancelled.

 

  1. Failure to inspect damages on delivery will prevent the Customer from filing a damage claim at the expiry of 48 hours from the time of delivery and Customer will be liable to pay for replacement parts. Please review the PDI Process information by clicking here

 

Assembly

 

  1. Unless stated otherwise, Belmonte Bikes LTD. will fully test and assemble up to 85% of the product prior to shipping. Upon delivery, depending on the model purchased, the Customer will be responsible for the remaining required assembly. Belmonte Bikes LTD. can provide its customers with Technical Support and Instructional materials, upon request. In some instances depending on the Customer’s mechanical experience and abilities, it may be necessary for the vehicle to be setup and inspected by a local service center for proper set-up and tuning, prior to initial use.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will securely place its larger products in a protective crate. Certain parts and materials may be found inside the storage compartment found underneath the seat of the vehicle.

 

  1. The Customer will be responsible to carefully verify that all screws, nuts and bolts are well tightened prior to using the vehicle for the first time, and will also take reasonable steps to periodically do safety inspections of the bike before driving.

 

  1. The Customer will always ensure that all fluid levels are proper enough to safely operate the vehicle according to the manufacturer’s recommended specifications. Belmonte Bikes LTD. strongly recommends that the Customer replace the existing motor/engine oil (i.e ”packing oil") already in the vehicle’s motor/engine, after a 25 hours break-in period. For the vehicles first oil change, Belmonte Bikes LTD. recommends to use the premium Amsoil product provided.

 

 

Returns

 

  1. All returns must be pre-authorized by Belmonte Bikes LTD. Buyer will contact Customer Service to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) before returning the purchased item. Returns will not be accepted without an RMA number. Upon receipt of the RMA number, it is the buyer’s responsibility to return the vehicle and all accessories therein at his/her own expense.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will not accept Freight collect or COD packages.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. is authorized to apply a restocking fee ranging between 0% - 35% on ALL returns. The restocking fee will be determined according to the condition of the returned item.

 

  1. Within 14 days of delivery, conditional upon the delivered package remaining unopened, Buyer may return vehicle in exchange for a full refund, without restocking fee. It remains the Buyer’s responsibility to return the vehicle and all accessories therein at his/her own expense.

 

  1. In the event that the vehicle is removed from its original packaging, but hasn’t had any contact with gasoline, Buyer may return vehicle in exchange for a full refund, subject to a 10% restocking fee. It remains Buyer’s responsibility to return the vehicle and all accessories therein at his/her own expense.

 

  1. In the event that the vehicle has been in contact with gasoline at any point after delivery, Buyer may return vehicle prior to the expiry of the warranty period in exchange for a full refund, subject to an automatic 30% restocking fee. It remains Buyer’s responsibility to return the vehicle and all accessories therein at his/her own expense.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD. is authorized to process a reduction on a refund if item is not returned in its original packaging, or if there is sign of minor usage visible on the vehicle. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will not accept any returns on a vehicle that has sustained damages during the shipping arranged by the Customer.

 

  1. All refunds will be processed within three (3) to five (5) Business days upon the item being delivered back to the Belmonte Bikes LTD warehousing facility located in Ottawa, ON. Items returned in unacceptable condition will not be processed and can be shipped back to the Customer.

 

Layaway

  1. Upon the Customer making a minimum deposit of $100.00, Belmonte Bikes LTD will set aside the item of his choice in its inventory, free of any interest charge or additional service fees, up-to a maximum period of 10 months from the day the deposit is made. Belmonte Bikes LTD. will only ship out the item once the balance is paid in full.

 

  1. Should the Customer need longer than 10 months, Belmonte Bikes LTD. will extend the layaway period for an additional 3 months, subject to a one-time extension fee of $69.00.

 

  1. Layaways can be transferred to other products at any time during the layaway period, at the customer’s request, conditional upon the new item being in stock at the time of the request.

 

  1. Customer may request to cancel the layaway at any moment. ALL layaway payments and fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. We can NOT refund the payment however If you would like to close your layaway account, this can be done by applying the total payments made towards in-store credit via Gift Card, or towards any item at our store.

 

 

 

MSO / MCO / Registration

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD warrants that all of its listed items are EPA approved, and, unless stated otherwise, are sold as authorized off-road vehicles.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD will provide the Buyer with a standard Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (MCO) and Bill of Sale which can be used for registration. All documents are filled out per state regulations and notarized.

 

 

  1. The Customer will be responsible to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the purchased vehicle meets the local State requirements for registration. Belmonte Bikes LTD encourages all customers to inquire with their local DMV or State authority, prior to purchasing an item intended for Road use.

 

  1. Belmonte Bikes LTD will not issue any refunds on the basis that the Customer was unable to register a vehicle.

 

Legal Disclaimer

 

  1. Purchaser acknowledges the nature of motor vehicle use and motorcycle-related activities and will ensure that the user is qualified to operate said motor vehicle, and is in proper physical condition to participate in such activity.

 

  1. Purchaser agrees to assume all inherent risks when allowing others to operate the purchased item. Adult supervision required for children under the age of 16.

 

  1. Purchaser assumes all risks and dangers related to the use of the purchased motor vehicle, including but not limited to disability, paralysis, dismemberment and death. These inherent risks and dangers may be caused by Purchasers own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others. There may be additional risks, including social and economic loss, either known or unknown to Purchaser, not readily foreseeable, and Purchaser fully accepts and assumes responsibility for all such risks, losses, costs, and damages incurred as a result of participation in the aforementioned activities.

 

  1. Purchaser expressly releases Belmonte Bikes LTD and all its affiliates of any liability for damages arising from the use or misuse of the purchased vehicle, including but not limited to, loss of revenue and for any monetary damages suffered due to manufacturer defects.

 

  1. Purchaser is responsible for registering and operating the purchased motor vehicle in accordance with local and state laws and ordinances. Seller makes no representations that its bikes are legal for operation in specific City, State or Province.

 

AMERICAN LIFAN WARRANTY

AMERICAN LIFAN 2 YEARS LIMITED WARRANTY FOR ONLINE PURCHASE

COVERAGE
The warranty covers the first owner from the date of purchase for 24 months or
12,000 miles, whichever comes first. American LIFAN warranty all parts of the
vehicle except those listed under the caption “What is not covered”. This
warranty covers the parts needed to correct defects in material. This warranty
does not cover labor cost, and is not transferable.


WHAT YOU MUST DO?

  1. After purchase, you must submit warranty registration card back to American Lifan either by mail or email. You must maintain a record of the vehicles required periodic service and inspection. Periodic service and inspection are considered regular Maintenance and are not reimbursable.
  2. You are required to maintain a record of the initial inspection which will be required upon application for any benefits covered by the LIFAN limited warranty.
  3. You must properly use, maintain and care for the vehicle as outlined in the American LIFAN Owner’s manual.


WHAT IS NOT COVERED? (WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS)

  1. Any damage resulting from negligence of the periodic maintenance.
  2. Any damage with results from repairs, adjustments or maintenance operation by any methods other than those specified by American LIFAN.
  3. Any damage which results from hard driving due to race, rally or operation in a location not generally used for driving.
  4. Any damage which results from use beyond the limitations specified in the American LIFAN Operations Manuals such as overloading the vehicle, or any damage from the use under normal conditions.
  5. Any damage caused when the product is used as a rental/commercial use vehicle.
  6. Any damage which results from use of non-genuine parts of accessories or fuel, lubricant or fluid not specified by American LIFAN.
  7. Any damage which results from modifications of the product.
  8. Any damage that results from the passage of time (natural fading of painted surface, shell peeling and other deterioration); Consumable replacement parts due to natural wears and tears such as spark plugs, drive chains, drive belts, air cleaners elements, brake shoes, clutch disks, light bulbs, batteries, rubber parts, tube & tires, oils and cables.
  9. Any damage due to improper storage or transport.
  10. Any damage which results from repairs adjustment or maintenance operations performed by any person other than American LIFAN distributors or the dealers.
  11. Any damage which results from unavoidable natural disasters, fire, collision, theft, and second damages base in any other these occurrences.
  12. Incidental of additional expenses insured for making any claims such as those for towing, communications, hotel and meals as sell as any losses during maintenance period, such as lose of time loss of business and rental car expenses.
  13. Schedule maintenance and inspections fees.
  14. Any after market parts including Electrical or engine replacements installed on the motorcycle or scooter.
  15. Any Routine Maintenance.
